Last week, we learned all about reptiles and amphibians. The kids loved lessons about frogs, lilypads, turtles, and snakes! We did some really neat art projects too!
Ms. Robyn brought tree frogs for the kids to examine.
Frogs and turtles were colored and decorated!
The three-year-olds colored frogs and lilypads and wrote about them.
The two-year-olds painted with snakes.
The two-year-olds made a pretty pond display with handprint alligators and painted lilypads.
The four-year-olds painted lilypads and glued colored frogs to them. They wrapped yarn around snake shapes to make yarn snakes too!
The five-year-olds drew a life-size alligator on the floor so the kids could see how HUGE the animals really are! The tail of this alligator stretches WAY beyond this picture!
Our five-year-olds did some pretty neat things this week, including...
...tasting and sorting frog food!
...exploring a snake skin!
...spreading glue on their hands and peeling it off to see how a snake sheds its skin.
...linking together to see how long a boa constrictor is!
All in all, our children learned a lot this week and had fun learning through play!

These articles and blogs are certainly sufficient for me personally for a day.
